ABOUT US

LUKRU design is a space where aesthetics, functionality, and emotion come together in design. Behind it stands Lucia Kružlicová, an interior and product designer who sees design as a tool for creating harmonious environments and fostering an emotional connection with space.

She works as an assistant professor at the Department of Furniture and Interior Design at the Technical University in Zvolen, specializing in interior and product design with a focus on emotional design and its relationship to product shaping. Her studies at TU in Zvolen and STU in Bratislava provided her with a strong foundation, which she continues to develop through her creative and academic work.

Her projects focus on ecological and sustainable design, utilizing recycled materials and experimenting with their structure and form. Her latest collection, PIPE, transforms waste and drainage pipes into children’s furniture, merging creativity with the crucial theme of sustainability.

She has showcased her work at major design events such as Milan Design Week, Czech Design Week, Łódź Design Festival, Algarve Design Meeting, and Bratislava Design Week. Her designs have earned several awards, including the Czech Design Award 2023 for Best Installation.
